Sara et Tony se retrouvent par hasard à Miami... Ils ont été amoureux il y a de nombreuses années puis, la vie les a séparés. Tony est devenu un grand chef étoilé à New York et Sara a ouvert un petit restaurant dans le quartier cubain de Miami. Lola et Teresa, leurs nièces respectives, vont bientôt fêter leur anniversaire et un incident va obliger Sara et Tony à cuisiner ensemble pour la fête.
