En 2008, un reportage renvoie Malena, 22 ans, à son passé traumatique. En 2004, elle a assisté à un concert de rock à la salle República de Cromañón, où un incendie s'est déclaré et où 194 jeunes ont trouvé la mort. The mothers and fathers of the young people in Cromañón receive the news of the fire and desperately focus on finding their children. In the hours and days that follow, the survivors must confront the deaths of friends and relatives. Overwhelmed, Malena escapes to the city of Rosario, while Carlos Binder begins to establish himself as a judicial figure within the Cromañón case.
